Situated 30km from the city centre, amid undulating fynbos covered
dunes, Atlantic Beach is set against the world-renowned
backdrop of Table Mountain. This championship links style course had
the honour of being the 1st course outside of the UK to host the
British Open Qualifying in January 2004, It has been built with a
serious commitment to the preservation of indigenous fauna and flora
and the golfer will agree that this combination of good golf, natural
elements and unsurpassed surroundings that make Atlantic Beach a unique
golfing experience. There are no caddies at the course.
Take the N1 north from Cape Town, then the R27 Milnerton off-ramp
andcontinue until you see Milnerton Golf Course on your left hand side.
Atlantic Beach is a further 18 kms. Turn left at your landmark, which
is a big Farm Stall on the right. From the Southern Suburbs travel on
the M5 towards Cape Town and cross over the N1.
Personal note from Ashley:
Keep an eye open for one or more of the numerous springbuck, which roam
freely on t the course. The rough is "STRICTLY" out of bounds due to
nature conservation. Please adhere to this! Atlantic Beach staff are
extremely friendly & helpful. The 12th has the most amazing
panoramic view so have your camera handy. Atlantic Beach was named the
3rd toughest course off the championship tees in SA in 2005.
